The whimsical world of ‘Dobbin’s Bobbins’ was initially founded by Rebecca in 2015 to chronicle her personal exploration of home-sewn garments for children. A graduate from the Arts University Bournemouth with a BA(Hons) degree in Costume and Performance Design, Rebecca specialises in designing and creating childrenswear and textiles.
Her BA Final Project was to reproduce 6 garments once worn by the 1930s child star Shirley Temple. Despite being 80 years old, Rebecca researched and picked these designs specifically with S/S 16 and A/W 16 trends in mind. The collection saw the culmination of Rebecca’s expertise in pattern drafting, interpretation, digital printing, hand-embroidery, quilting, tailoring, and much more besides.
Now 24 and living in Hampshire, England- the home of the magnificent and magical New Forest, Rebecca loves nothing more than losing herself in a world of creative conceptual design & research and creating on-trend clothing for children inspired by enchanting storytelling and memories.
